Webinar Requirements for providing financial technology services regulated by the Capital Markets Authority
The Capital Markets Authority has conducted its first awareness webinar which aimed at enhancing public awareness, improving literacy regarding financial technology services, and empowering financial inclusion. The webinar was presented by the Fintech Unit team:

The webinar specifically targeted potential financial services providers who are interested in operating within the regulatory framework outlined in Module Nineteen of the CMA's Executive Bylaws. The requirements and procedures of applications to provide financial services within the regulatory framework listed in Module Nineteen (Financial Technologies) of the Executive Bylaws of the law of establishing the CMA were illustrated. The framework includes two services: Securities-based Crowdfunding and Digital Financial Advisory. The webinar has shed the light on the initial implementation phase as stated in Resolution No. (181) of 2023 Regarding) by focusing on the “Comply or Explain” principle and the provisions it’s applied to and on the explanation of the conditions, requirements, and procedures for submitting applications for financial technology services and registering as a Fintech service provider. The webinar concluded with a live Q&A session, addressing all questions raised by the attendees.
