Title: Press Release: The Capital Markets Authority Visits NBK Children's Hospital
Kuwait, December 30, 2024 – The Capital Markets Authority (CMA) recently demonstrated its commitment to social responsibility by visiting NBK Children's Hospital – located in Sabah Central Health Region on Sunday December 29, 2024.
The visit aimed to uplift the spirits of young patients by offering them a day of joy and entertainment. A team from the CMA’s Public Relations and Media Office interacted with the children and their families and the supervising medical staff, engaging in fun activities and distributing gifts to spread cheer and optimism.
The initiative reflects the CMA’s dedication to fostering compassionate and supportive society. The children’s families expressed their sincere gratitude for this kind gesture, acknowledging and the valuable contribution of the Kuwaiti society.
At the end of the visit, CMA’s team expressed their heartfelt thanks to the hospital’s management for their kind reception and the great role played by the medical and administrative staff in supporting the children and their families in their recovery journey, and wished for their safety, wellness, and speedy recovery.

The Capital Markets Authority was established pursuant to Law No. 7/2010, approved by the Kuwaiti Parliament in February 2010. Pursuant to the Law, the CMA shall regulate and supervise the securities activities, achieve transparency and fairness, observe listed companies’ execution of Corporate Governance regulations, and protect investors from unfair practices which violate the CMA's Law.
Furthermore, the Law's provisions stipulate the supervision of mergers, acquisitions, and disclosure operations. The CMA also aims to provide awareness programs related to securities activities.
