Title: Resolution No. (170) of 2024 Regarding the Registration of Gulf Bank in the Register of Securities-Based Fintech Services at the CMA to Provide the Digital Financial Advisory Service
Having Perused:
- Law No. 7 of 2010 Regarding the Establishment of the Capital Markets Authority and Regulating Securities Activities and its Executive Bylaws, and amendments thereto; and
- Resolution No. (181) of 2023 Regarding the Launch of the Initial Implementation Phase of Module Nineteen (Financial Technologies) of the Executive Bylaws of Law No. 7 of 2010 Regarding the Establishment of the Capital Markets Authority and Regulating Securities Activities and their amendments issued on 28/12/2023; and
- The license certificate for securities activities of Gulf Bank No. (AP/2017/0002); and
- Based on the CMA’s approval issued on 23/04/2024 for Gulf Bank to undergo a regularization process according to the provisions of CMA’s Resolution No. (181) of 2023; and
- The application of Gulf Bank to include the service of Digital Financial Advisory to its existing Investment Advisor license and to register in the Securities-Based Fintech Services register at the CMA; and
- The approval authorizations of some procedures of the Financial Technologies Unit approved by the CMA Board of Commissioners Resolution in its meeting No. (39) of 2023 held on 27/12/2023.
The Following Was Resolved
Article (1)
Gulf Bank is hereby registered in the Securities-Based Fintech Services register at the CMA to Provide the Digital Financial Advisory Service.
Article (2)
The concerned bodies shall execute this Resolution, each within its jurisdiction. This Resolution shall come into force from the date of its issuance, and it shall be published in the Official Gazette.
