Title: Press Release: Launching the Eighth Training and Qualifying Program for the Recent Graduates
Kuwait, December 16, 2024 - Within the framework of CMA’s continuous efforts in cooperation with the Capital Markets Academy in community development by qualifying national cadres, the eighth training and qualifying program for the recent distinguished graduates was launched on Monday 2/12/2024, in the presence of members of the board of trustees of the Capital Markets Academy- Kuwait and a number of officials from the CMA.
In a speech conveyed by the Vice Chairman of the Board of Commissioners, Mr. Othman Al-Issa, he expressed his gratitude for the efforts made by the Capital Markets Academy in preparing and implementing this program, noting that it is being held for the first time under the supervision and management of the Academy. He explained that the program provides new graduates with the opportunity to acquire the necessary skills to work in the capital market through an intensive training program, thus enhancing the trainees' experiences and preparing them to work efficiently. He also emphasized the importance of commitment and diligence to maximize the benefit of the program.
On the other hand, the General Manager of the Capital Markets Academy-Kuwait, Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Rasheed Al-Bader, stated that the training and qualification program for recent Kuwaiti graduates has been carefully designed to provide participants with basic scientific, professional and technical skills, and to introduce them to local and global capital markets, which contributes to qualifying them to work in international and local capital markets. The General Manager of the Academy also provided a detailed explanation of the program’s mechanism, which extends over a period of four months and is divided into three stages: local academic training, followed by field training, and then external training in cooperation with Harvard University.
Through this initiative, the Capital Markets Academy - Kuwait seeks to enhance the professional capacities of young national cadres, and to spread awareness on the role of capital markets supervision, emphasizing its commitment to social responsibility and its role in community development by investing in the development of national cadres.

The Capital Markets Authority was established pursuant to Law No. 7/2010, approved by the Kuwaiti Parliament in February 2010. Pursuant to the Law, the CMA shall regulate and supervise the securities activities, achieve transparency and fairness, observe listed companies’ execution of Corporate Governance regulations, and protect investors from unfair practices which violate the CMA's Law.
Furthermore, the Law's provisions stipulate the supervision of mergers, acquisitions, and disclosure operations. The CMA also aims to provide awareness programs related to securities activities.
