Greetings,
Within the framework of the Capital Markets Authority’s efforts and its continuous pursuit to achieve the highest levels of compliance through the current mutual evaluation process by the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) on the State of Kuwait, and in light of the results reflected in the mutual evaluation report of the State of Kuwait issued in October 2024, and in our belief in the role of the private sector, similar to the role of the CMA in addressing the repercussions of the mutual evaluation process to achieve the best possible outcomes, and to contribute to maintaining the reputation international standing of the state of Kuwait in this regard, and pursuant thereto, and in order to raise the awareness of all financial institutions, businesses and non-financial professions designated in the State of the requirements of anti-money laundering and terrorism financing, and in the presence of all regulatory bodies, the National Committee for Anti-Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing has launched its awareness campaign for the aforementioned entities be contracting with a specialized consulting company to provide a set of remote awareness workshops in this field on a regular basis. You will be notified and reminded of the dates of these workshops through CMA’s electronic portal.
Accordingly, and as part of the workshops in which the financial institutions (FIs) are a party, your compliance officers are required to participate in the aforementioned awareness workshops by registering through the link below, noting that participation will be open for all your employees. We would like to note that the CMA, after each awareness workshop, will send a survey to all licensed persons on the workshop’s evaluation.
