CMA LAW: The Capital Markets Authority Announces Filing a Report with the Prosecutor General Regarding the Occurrence of a Crime

The Capital Markets Authority announces filing a report with the Prosecutor General on 21/08/2024 regarding the occurrence of the crime stipulated in Article (125) of Law No. 7 of 2010 Regarding the Establishment of the Capital Markets Authority and Regulating Securities Activities, and Articles (231) and (257) of Law No. 16 of 1961 promulgating the Penal Code. The defendants used the Capital Markets Authority’s official name and logo within fake documents for the purpose of misleading the recipients of the veracity of these documents and with the intention of using them for a different purpose in order to inflict harm to others through deceiving recipients by demanding funds owed from them, contrary to the truth.
