Title: Press Release: The Capital Markets Authority Participates in Training of Trainer Program
Kuwait, February 3, 2024 – The Capital Markets Authority (CMA) participated in a training program titled “Training of Trainer” in the presence of participants from various government entities in the State of Kuwait. The program was held during the period from January 21 to 25, 2024 and aimed to enhance the knowledge of the participants in the characteristics and skills of a successful trainer and provide them with the abilities and skills of presenting successful theoretical and practical lectures. In addition, the program aims to provide the participants with necessary skills for designing effective training programs, developing scientific materials and training packages, and implementing and evaluating the highest quality training process. Each of the following was granted a local Training of Trainer Certificate:
- Mr. Tareq Aljutaili – Anti-Money Laundering and Combating Financing of Terrorism Section Manager (On-Site Supervision Department).
- Ms. Anwar Almutairi - Training and Development Section Manager (Human Resources Department).
- Ms. Aayad Almanea – Senior Specialist (Human Resources Department).
The international membership of this certificate is valid for five renewable years. The participants’ obtain of this certificate reflects their superiority and successful passing of the certified trainer standards as well as their presentation of outstanding presentations. The participants were evaluated according to a form of 10 international standards for evaluating the achievement of the program’s objectives, application of the presentation skills, and the use of various training means. The CMA obtained the trophy of the best presentation.

The Capital Markets Authority (CMA) of Kuwait was established pursuant to Law No. 7 of 2010 Regarding the Establishment of the Capital Markets Authority and Regulating Securities Activities, and its amendments, approved by the Kuwaiti Parliament in February 2010. Under this Law, the CMA regulates and supervises securities activities, ensures transparency, fairness, efficiency, and observes listed companies’ implementation of Corporate Governance regulations. The CMA also protects investors from unfair practices and violations of the CMA's Law.
Furthermore, the Law's provisions stipulate the supervision of mergers, acquisitions, and disclosure operations. The CMA also aims to provide awareness programs related to securities activities.
