Title: The Capital Markets Authority Announces Filing a Report with the Prosecutor General Regarding the Occurrence of a Crime

The Capital Markets Authority announces filing a report with the Prosecutor General on 12/02/2025 regarding the occurrence of the crimes stipulated in the following Articles:

• Article 118 of Law No. 7 of 2010 Regarding the Establishment of the Capital Markets Authority and Regulating Securities Activities and its amendments.
• Paragraphs (a, b) of Item (1), paragraphs (a, c) of Item (2) of Article 122 of Law No. 7 of 2010 Regarding the Establishment of the Capital Markets Authority and Regulating Securities Activities and its amendments.
• Item (2) of Article 63 criminalized by Item (1) of Article126 of Law No.7 of 2010 and its amendments.
•  Item (1) of Article (3-3) of Module Fourteen (Market Conduct) of Law No. 7 of 2010 Regarding the Establishment of the Capital Markets Authority and Regulating Securities Activities and their amendments.
• Item (5) of Article 21 of Law No. 3 of 2006 Regarding Press and Publications, criminalized by the provision of Article 6 of Law No. 63 of 2015.

The defendants, the first to the eighth, from 2/6/2024 to 21/11/2024, traded on the securities exchange on the shares of Mena Real Estate Company (Mena) and executed pre-coordinated, repeated and matchingdeals between them, in a manner that led to increased momentum on the share and a significant growth in its value, and attracted the traders to deal in the share and buy from them at false prices, which enabled them to achieve illegal gains.

The ninth defendant, without a license from the Authority, published news, analyses and recommendations on the social media programs (Telegram) and (WhatsApp), and encouraged and advised dealing in the (Mena) share during the same period, especially in September 2024, which was linked to the method of the defendants from the first to the eighth to contribute to the rise of the share to very high price levels and sell the largest quantity to traders.
