Title: Press Release: A First-Aid Course for the Capital Market Authority’s Employees Conducted by Kuwait National Guard
Kuwait, February 3, 2024 – Within the framework of its directions to enhance joint cooperation with various national entities, the Capital Markets Authority (CMA) has executed a first-aid course for its employees in collaboration with Kuwait National Guard from Sunday, January 28, until Thursday February 1, 2024, in the National Guard Officers Club.
This event, which is part of CMA’s efforts of social responsibility to maintain the safety and health of its employees and their families in which 17 trainees of its employees have participated, aimed to equip them with the required knowledge and necessary skills to deal with emergencies resulting from various potential accidents and guide them to the mechanisms of dealing with injuries caused by accidents. This course included an introduction to first aid, which included the respiratory, circulatory system, cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR), first-aid, and tactical emergency.
On this occasion, Chairman of the CMA Board of Commissioners and the Managing Director Prof. Ahmad Al-Melhem expressed his gratitude to the National Guard leadership and the team that executed this course for their professionalism and unlimited cooperation in hosting this course and facilitating all components needed for its success.
Furthermore, Prof. Al-Melhem praised the active participation of the CMA employees during this course to achieve the maximum benefit from its training courses.
It is worth noting that the CMA is keen on organizing such events for its employees, aimed at enhancing their health awareness, as the CMA has previously cooperated with the National Guard to conduct a health check-up day for its employees on October 16, 2023.

The Capital Markets Authority (CMA) of Kuwait was established pursuant to Law No. 7 of 2010 Regarding the Establishment of the Capital Markets Authority and Regulating Securities Activities, and its amendments, approved by the Kuwaiti Parliament in February 2010. Under this Law, the CMA regulates and supervises securities activities, ensures transparency, fairness, efficiency, and observes listed companies’ implementation of Corporate Governance regulations.
